Our family villa stay at Beaches Turks & Caicos

Seven of us shared a villa near the beach, with enough room to be together without feeling crowded.

We traveled to Beaches Turks & Caicos with seven family members: five adults and two children. We stayed in the Key West Beachfront Four Bedroom Butler Villa Residence with Private Pool.

The layout made it possible for everyone to stay together without feeling like we were on top of one another. That became one of the best parts of the trip. We were sharing the same vacation and the same home, but people still had enough space when they wanted time to themselves.

A villa that worked for the whole family

The villa had three full bathrooms and several separate sleeping areas.

Another family member stayed in the downstairs bedroom, which had a king-size bed and a full bathroom.

My wife and I stayed upstairs, with access to the second-floor outdoor deck overlooking the ocean and the sand-dune area. The other family members used the additional bedrooms and upper loft sleeping area.

My sister and son shared one bedroom, but each had a separate bed. Apart from that, everyone had their own sleeping space.

The kitchen, refrigerator, stove and snacks also made the villa feel more like a home than a group of hotel rooms.

The convenience of butler service

The butler service made the trip easier, especially with a family group. When we wanted to stay in, breakfast or lunch could be brought to the villa.

We could ask our butlers to bring the golf cart when we wanted to reach the farther areas of the property. That made getting around the larger resort convenient for everyone in our group. Those conveniences allowed everyone to enjoy the vacation without spending as much time working out the little details.

We were spoiled, but in a good way. Meals, cleaning and many of the ordinary responsibilities were handled, so we could concentrate on enjoying the week together.

The beach, pool and water park

The family went to the beach nearly every day. Turks & Caicos had some of the bluest water we had ever seen. The shallow, clear water and the sunlight made the color especially beautiful.

The children enjoyed both the beach and the private pool at the villa. The pool was used almost every day.

My son and I also spent time at the water park. We went around the lazy river three times and rode some of the larger waterslides several times. Those were some of the most fun parts of the trip for the two of us.

Was the larger villa necessary?

The larger villa cost more, but much of the resort experience—including the restaurants and beach—was not limited to villa guests during our stay.

The villa was valuable to us because seven people could stay together comfortably. It gave us more room, more privacy and conveniences that worked particularly well for our family. That does not mean every family needs the same room category to enjoy the resort.

What stayed with me

The moment I remember most clearly happened as we were leaving. Everyone talked about how thankful they were that we had spent the week together.

The beach was beautiful, the water was gorgeous and the villa worked extremely well for our group. But the most important part was having that uninterrupted time as a family.

With the meals, cleaning and daily details handled, we were free to relax and enjoy one another's company. That is what made the trip special.
